Gurnee Eye Care is a state of the art optometric building nestled in a small suburban town outside of Chicago. Owner Dr. Robert Alongi needed a larger more efficient office that would allow a for second doctor.
When asked how he would like his new building to look and feel, Dr. Robert Alongi told us, "I really like how it feels in my favorite steak house." With a little more probing we discovered that what he liked were the rich, deep colors, the warmth of a dark wood floor and the dramatic lighting so we mixed all of those elements together to create his new office.
Gone are the bottlenecks that plagued his busy practice. Now he has sufficient space for pre-testing and a large reception counter where multiple patients can comfortably check in and out. A separate frame delivery counter prevents over-crowding at the optical styling tables.
The building shell was designed and built by Ymker Building (www.ymkerbuilding.com), a firm that specializes in dental and optometric building, financing and development.
